What an amazing performance by Pakistan cricket team in India. It was a total turn about from past, and the only reason of this somersault was their unification in team which dazzled them till the end.
All were players, be it Youhana, Haq, Afridi, Butt or any Khan…there was no star in them and the fact majored them to this pinnacle.
Seems like we don’t need attitude filled-publicity starved Shoaib Akhtar anymore…What do you say??
You mean to say..fools are the people who keep cheering behind teh benches in soccer stadiums or cricket podiums...or may be in their AC studded homes...I don't think so..sports is like music and with it is attached a spirit of enthusiasm and i respect all supporters..

ReplyDeleteWell, apparently i met Shoaib on a small charity cricket match in Birmingham. It was not that crowded, seats were desi... sit on the grass. He gave his glasses and sweater to me. "wish i had runaway with them"... after the match, i introduced myself, and the guy was so kinda "king of the world" attitude. Other players were much better. Got photos, if u guys want them. :)
ReplyDeletePlaying a game, is such a different experience. Watching it is also a totally different thing. Have to say, cricket matches turn out to be toooo long, and i so don't consider it to be real sports, it is a "Gentleman's game" ;).... plus match fixing has so put me off this game. Sometimes, i think all games might be fixed :s
