Where prices as soar that only one could afford luxury, where education is for sale so that only few ‘already sold’ could afford and the rest remain in drudgery.

Bangladesh, that became separate, though confronted by ghastly in-house politics, continuous floods and massive poverty. With sane, sincere and patriotic practices, Bengalis are far ahead from Pakistan now. Their growth is a solid one and people are far more knowledgeable than here. The country is not into class clashes and fashion mockery as here, their integrity in the world stood apart, Pakistanis who are fools and could not create an identity in the world that Pakistanis are different from Indians. [In west, a common person still relates Pakistan with India and did not differentiate it]

In such circumstances how one could expect to say that I am a proud Pakistani or I love Pakistan…

Well, I am a desecrate young Paki whose hands are tied-up and have just one way at the end of tunnel to leave the country and do something that could create a name… but well, my soul says I should stop the struggle… leave everything as it won’t do any good. Stop being patriotic as the conspiracy is so strong and well grounded that there would be no good at all. Everything is happening on the whims of Uncle Sam… Who we are?

Just concentrate on job, family and religion. And be peace with it and let the things to be decided by the traitors, looters and the mafia.

Is this what we should do?

I wanna hear your voice……………………………

Is another world possible?

A colour, vibrant and jazzy collection of activists from a variety of countries each enchanting slogans leading to the agenda towards free thinking and anti-imperialism

World Social Forum is a consortium of anti-globalization activists founded in Brazil in 2001. Since then activists from around the globe started to meet annually in conjunction with World Economic Forum to oppose and educate people with the evils of New World Order. This year the organizers tried to spread the agenda by organizing it in three countries, infact three continents. Africa: Mali (January19-23), Latin America: Caracas, Venezuela (January 24-29) and Asia: Karachi, Pakistan (March 24-29).

WSF is a mega event and whenever it held it take the lime light of media from all over the globe. In Karachi, it was suppose to be held in January but because of Earthquake it was extended for two months.

About 15000 delegates from outside Karachi sprawled towards the city of lights including 5000 from 60 countries. Indians, Chinese, Koreans, Brazilians, Nepalese, Sri Lankan, French, Burmese yet every variety of colour, cast and creed was found at the event. And well, the event was not just like an expo or a variety show but it was composed of over 400 seminars. Rallies, theatre activities, walks, melas and several colourful programmes add flavour.

The opening ceremony was started with the folk performances from all provinces and opening remarks by Tariq Ali (UK), Asma Jahangir (Pakistan), Moeema Miranda (Brazil), Gustav Masia (France), Jamal Juma (Palestine), Irene Lean (Ecuador), Jose Migual Henandez (Cuba) and Basil Manning (South Africa).

Delegates from 50 countries attended the opening session chaired by Indian MP Kumari Nirmala Deshpande "We want peace and justice in the world, we are against war," Brazilian delegate, Moema Miranda, told the gathering. "We can achieve this by uniting ourselves and the World Social Forum must move on," she added.

Asma Jehangir laments the current military leadership of being hypocrite and pro-western, she challenges the concept of free market. Asma Jehangir enthuse positivity that we will empower ourselves and could fight against the hegemony enforced on us.

The WSF representative from Brazil, Moeema Miranda, said: “WSF offers opportunities to bring together popular forces from varied constituencies to develop constructive alternatives that will defend the majority of world population from attack on fundamental human rights and lead them to move on to break power concentrations and extend domains of justice and freedom.

Pakistan's first WSF meeting was held under tight security after the latest suicide blasts in this volatile southern city that killed a US diplomat and four other people this month. "It's good that despite the blast a lot of foreign delegates are attending the meeting," chief organizer Karmat Ali said.

Delegates held discussions on issues ranging from HIV and Aids, Indo Pak Cricket for peace, Youth, Women liberation to highly publicized series of forums on Kashmir issue. There were paintings, exhibitions, tableaus, theatre shows, and walks etc. There were numerous rallies with periodic intervals. But the best part which clicked me immensely is that the forum was attended by people from all walks of life and in several sessions you can view a woman from a rural village from interior Sindh sitting next to highly modern elite lady. This thing had taken me literally and this is the amalgamation our nation was looking for since ages and well WSF paved the way for this entanglement of people from different classes, background and ideologies.

But there seems a high lack of coordination among the organizers, the kit was not provided on the first day and when the kit was provided the event schedule was not given. There were no banners or boards guiding the public that which hall is where and one have to take the round of whole area to find the required spot. Many commented that the event has become more a political party and NGO moot and the real issues been ignored. Even clashes among representatives from different provinces were witnessed in some sessions.

The schedule was not followed and the halls were not maintained properly. Everything was marred with dust and bright sun. Even a female speaker belonging from NGO got fainted. Weather has made the event pathetic for visitors to be there in day-time. There were no dust-bins and the eating places looked more or less like garbage dump by the end of each day. The organizers should be proactive and far sighted enough and had provided waste-bins at spot. In addition eating goods were very expensive. If the organizers and WSF people can't arrange their event than how could they run that Another World??

Even there was no sound publicity done of the event. Many NGOs and intellectuals complained that they wanted to participate but didn't know how to register their discussion groups. The website holds very incomprehensive information about the event. The camps where the foreign volunteers and visitors were accommodated were also not properly managed and facilities were not provided properly. The organizers should provide them excellent accommodation so that they carry good example of hospitality when they leave the country.

The camps where the foreign volunteers and visitors were accommodated were also not properly managed and facilities were not provided properly. The organizers should provide them excellent accommodation so that they carry good example of hospitality when they leave the country.

But overall the event was superb and thumbs-up in many ways. It paved the way for many foreigners to visit Pakistan for the first time and got an open interface to interact with Pakistani people. It really correct their views as Pakistan is seen as a place like Afghanistan where fighting take place all the time. It was also a colourful fusion of different classes and cultures but I believe the potential could have gauged and brought into use if the activity was properly planned and the participating NGOs were productive in their sessions. The sessions went more like discussion groups in a measly organized setting. If the organisers have utilized the space of expo centre, it would have added million colours to the event. The visitors from interior and provincial capitals must have learned a lot and created a good network when they return home. No doubt it was a proud achievement for Pakistani activists who have lobbied hard to become the host. We wish every year Pakistan become avenue of such global events aiming at empowering society and the individual in general.

Indian awesome marketers or Liars??

Well no doubt India is doing whatever but its also another fact that they are awesome marketers and could do very successful lobbying. And this is what India is doing since last one year and the result is that it successfuly has shifted the focus from China to her country.

I wonder when Pakistanis will realise the power of Country's PR...all foreign newspapers and magazines hold Burqa clad women fottos and the pics from Peshawar and Wana...nobody want to hilight the commercialisation going on in our country..I dont know why all bad things of Pakistan are hilighted. A few days back I saw a documentary made by some Pakistani Journalist again on 'Mullahism' in Pakistan....well I guess we should go one step forward and through media hilight the progressive things happening in our country.

As compare to our situation, India is represented by business women, IT and Call centre geniuses on International media not to foget their ever burgeoning film industry.... Well the e-mail below holds a clipping from http://www.wikipedia.com/ --online largest resource of definitions and information--...in the said clipping Indians have counted themselves as they are contributing in every mega-thing on Earth --some facts are pretty distorted as well--. Hu Shih (formerChinese ambassador to USA)

Do we have similar stats & facts consolidated about Pakistan? There is a lot of macro level info available on BoI and PSEB websites. Few movies hosted by PSEB @ http://pseb.org.pk/movie/ as part of marketing collateral are also worth mentioning here. I think a government department or a ministry (EPB, BoI, MoI&B, MoITT, OPF, Pakistan Science Foundation, Pakistan Computer Bureau, etc.) should take up the responsibility to regularly update, verify & consolidate similar information about Pakistan in different creative ways and then carry out a passive offline & online media promotion (e.g. advertorials or sponsored articles, etc.) in addition to traditional marketing.

Dear Muslims please get over it...

Any Muslim can understand and see how The Europeans have made fun of our Dear Prophet and there act has instigated the feelings of millions of Muslims across the world and literally has brought them on a single platform to raise voice against this brutal and immature attitude shown by Dutch (western) media.

But, my dear fellows its my opinion which I have generated with constant watch of the opinions given by Dutch and Norwegian people including corporate representatives...they are really sorry for it. Here we should not forget this fact that Dutch who are considered as the most liberal nation in the world and its Media enjoyed freedom of speech in all senses since decades. A nation which has no limits in its blood and if has done this brutal mistake this should be considered by Muslim Ummah only on this account that such act will not be repeated by any Media in the world. And as some Muslim leaders are pressing for a UN convention on Freedom of Speech and Respect of religious beliefs that is the Only best way to deal with this issue and to counter any other future acts like this.

Here I guess Muslim Ummah requires a sane strategy rather than emotional acts leading to bloodily protests and riots. Sabotaging one owns property could never leads to the right solution it would only harm their own country. –Best example is the situation that prevails last week in the whole country, the protests on the cost of country’s peace and closure of economic and other productive activities--

I am working as Communication Manager for a project targeted on the Development of Textile Industry of Pakistan, well the project is funded by Netherlands (Royal Netherlands Embassy) and last week when the controversy was in its much hyped curve, we have an event scheduled in which Dutch trainers were invited to Karachi...it was a two-day training workshop in a local hotel in which almost all of the leading Textile industrialists were invited. we have been working on its organisation since last couple of weeks and feared what if embassy calls its staff back for security reasons...but though the situation was not in favour of Denmark’s favour the delegate arrived at its time and with not much notification from Embassy... though if there were Americans or British or even Indians if confronted with such situation they must have been precautioned heavily by the embassy staff.

After meeting with them....it seems that they are really innocent people --all were very learned and pretty much connected with media...and trust me, I am an excellent investigator—after having an hourly discussion my conclusion is that there media has really done an insane mistake without thinking of any repercussions…and its all because of the general freedom of though and opinion which reigns in the veins of Dutch. These people had no hidden agenda in their cuffs, well I am sure that if such act was done by any American newspaper it must be for some well Sound Reasons –focussed on some hidden objective-- as Americans are really really smart, intelligent and focussed people...always have a proactive agenda...while these Europeans are pretty much square and straight individuals. If they want it, they say it...

And haven't you guys noticed the action has been hi-lighted by BBC and CNN...and came on screen much later on after publishing... sometimes it seems the American media and Govt of course has used it deliberately to tease Muslims.

Whatever it is, this act has done lot of timely actions going in favour for Muslim Ummah like:

With it Muslims all over the world have united under one flag,
United for one agenda,
In Muslim world the concept of nationhood resuscitated again after ages,
Gave them courage to speak on International Forums --like United Nations-- for their rights, for the sanctity of religion,
Last but not the least, that it has produced the Long long-awaited fear in the hearts of Westerners that Muslims can reply with a high intensity and strong blow.

But well, in the end we Muslims should realise that Literally its a time to grow up as its not the first time the Western Media has slapped on our face...if we remain behind, backward and economically dependent and en-clashed with each other there are due chances that such unwanted actions will be repeated and next time may be the brutal ness might be far more severe. --Samuel P. Huntington's work and countless Hollywood movies constantly blow Muslims self esteem...if anyone remembers them, here??''

So please dear fellow Ummah, act like Responsible Muslims, Cool down and start concentrating on the solid thing like Economy, Internal cohesion and Self Dependency, that’s the real challenge for Muslims of current century and need of time. Please get out of the current shock and start working to defuse the next one.

Love you all....

Starzz laden episode of ''Koffee with Karan''....

Well this is to share a comment on the recently concluded episode of Coffee with Karan...Mannn if you have ever watched the show it is somewhat an added-on intelligent masalah version of Opera...and well its on-aired next to OPerah every Sunday at 11pm on Star
World--I guess i dont need to mention that--..

Today Karan has invited Shahrukh and Bachan both...and well the start was pretty dramatic, in beginning Shahrukh actually interviewed Bachan and I thought Karan has revised the formula this time but nooo....he chips in later on and than in addition to surprise the presence of guests like Jaya Bachan, Kajol, Farah Khan and directors of Black, Devdas and... revealed many new closets about these two superb personalities. Plus a good survey of comments from Indian ''jantaa'' of what they think about the appealing guests?? And well, it was no surprise as every one know that Indian people worship Mr. Bachan and love Mr. Khan...

And well in my eyes too I am also a big, bigger and biggest fan of Mr. Khan who is simply but Irrestible!!...literrally. Khan has not only won a wide acclaim --a global one-- at a very young age but his movies and appearances shows that he is feeding a Big message accross Indian masses and his eyes are infact to market the Indian Image and Identity and this is what should be the motto of every superstar..and thats what set a person apart!.. Alas! lets see when Pakistan produce a Khan or Bachan, lets see where the newly revived Media race end into...

US quest of 'Integrity' gets **classified**

Merriam-Webster's Words of the Year 2005

The #1 Word of the Year for 2005 was: integrity
Pronunciation: in-'te-gr&-tEFunction: nounEtymology: Middle English integrite, from Middle French & Peter Drucker, revered as the father of modern management for numerous books and articles stressing innovation, entrepreneurship and strategies for dealing with a changing world, has died. He was 95.
The Vienna-born Drucker died on Friday of natural causes at his home in Claremont, east of Los Angeles, said Bryan Schneider, a spokesman for Claremont Graduate University, where Drucker taught.

"He is purely and simply the most important developer of effective management and of effective public policy in the 20th century," former US House speaker Newt Gingrich said on Friday. "In the more than 30 years that I've studied him, talked with him and learned from him, he has been invaluable and irreplaceable."

Drucker has been considered a management visionary for his recognition that dedicated employees are key to the success of any corporation, and that marketing and innovation should come before worries about finances. His ability to explain his principles in plain language helped them resonate with ordinary managers, former Intel Corp chairman Andy Grove said.

"Consequently, simple statements from him have influenced untold numbers of daily actions. They did mine over decades," Grove said. Drucker championed concepts such as management by objective and decentralization, and his motivational techniques have been used by some of the biggest firms in corporate America, including Intel and Sears, Roebuck & Co.
Business Week magazine hailed Drucker as "the most enduring management thinker of our time," and Forbes magazine featured him on a 1997 cover under the headline: "Still the Youngest Mind." US President George W. Bush awarded him the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2002.

In the early 1940s, Drucker was invited to study General Motors' inner workings, an experience that led to his 1946 management book, Concept of the Corporation. He went on to write more than 30 books and start a foundation for non-profit management.

"He's very much an intellectual leader, and that's not common," Harvard Business School professor Quinn Mills said. Drucker showed a knack for identifying sea changes in business and economics years in advance. He foresaw the emergence of a new type of worker whose occupation would be based on knowledge, not physical labor or management. After the big stock market decline of October 1987, Drucker said he had expected it, "and not for economic reasons, but for aesthetic and moral reasons."

"The last two years were just too disgusting a spectacle," Drucker said. "Pigs gorging themselves at the trough are always a disgusting spectacle, and you know it won't last long."
Drucker termed Wall Street brokers "a totally non-productive crowd which is out for a lot of easy money." "When you reach the point where the traders make more money than investors, you know it's not going to last," he said. "The average duration of a soap bubble is known. It's about 26 seconds," Drucker said.

"For speculative crazes, it's about 18 months," he said. Drucker was born in Vienna, and educated there and in the UK. He received a doctorate in international law while working as a reporter in Frankfurt, Germany. He remained in Germany until 1933, when one of his essays was banned by the Nazi regime. For a time, he worked as an economist for a bank in London, then moved to the US in 1937.

He taught politics and philosophy at Bennington College in Vermont and for more than 20 years was a professor of management at New York University's graduate business school. Beginning in 1971, he taught a course for mid-career executives at Claremont Graduate School in California, which has named its business school after him.

Drucker's management books included: The Effective Executive (1966); Management: Tasks, Responsibilities, Practices (1974); and Managing in a Time of Great Change (1995). Last year, he put out The Daily Drucker: 366 Days of Insight and Motivation for Getting the Right Things Done.

He also wrote scores of articles for the academic and popular press, two novels and an autobiography, Adventures of a Bystander. While much of his career was spent studying employees in the workplace, Drucker also dedicated time to the service sector, founding the New York-based Peter F. Drucker Foundation for Nonprofit Management, known since 2003 as the Leader to Leader Institute.

Jack Beatty, a senior editor at Atlantic Monthly magazine who wrote the book The World According to Peter Drucker, described the management guru as "uproariously funny [with] a great rapport. You ask him a question and it can go on for some time."
Drucker is survived by his wife, Doris, and four children.

Literraly the death of Peter Drucker will create a vaccum in the visionary business ideas. He is not only the founder of modern marketing but also kept close check on the current marketing practices and always blessed us with his carefully carved opinions.

It's really an irreparable loss. We, management professionals should now declare November 11 as the Drucker Day to pay an yearly tribute to this thinker of modern age.

Naheen koi tum jaisa!!

Happy Birthday dear Sharukh Khan.

Clap, clap, clap...
The mega-king of asian flicks in my eyes.

Here's a brief exerpt about this Bollywood idol from an Indian online tabloid:

"In an industry obsessed with good looks, it’s hard to imagine that a short man with a funny nose and clumsy hair would rise to heights of stardom. But then again, Shah Rukh Khan has always been unconventional. Unlike most Bollywood bigwigs, Shah Rukh’s academic career spans several years.

While his formative years were spent in St Columbus High School, he later went to study at St Stephen’s College and Hansraj College. He did his masters in Mass Communication from Jamiya Miliya Islamiya. He fell in love and married a girl from a conventional Hindu home, his college sweetheart Gauri after a Bollywood- style romance and courtship. With Gauri, Shah Rukh later had two children — a son, Aryan and a daughter Suhana.

In 1989, after the death of both his parents, Shah Rukh moved to Bombay where his acting career began. On hindsight, once again he defied convention by making his debut on a television serial Fauji.

After receiving a good response, he took up a role in another TV serial, Circus, produced by Aziz Mirza. His association with Mirza grew into a strong friendship as he began to act in Mirza’s films, Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman being one in many.

Forty-two films old, Shah Rukh rules Bollywood. Well, the idea definitely conveys the fact the biggest competition this cola company is facing from Lal drink manufacturers and that’s a reason in advertisements the firm tries to convince users that Pepsi is far better. –This Ramzan, the firm aired the third advertisement in row on this theme--

In my eyes the firm has no right to malign other products. Unfortunately in our country there are no advertising laws and there is no one to stop this multi-national.

The said ‘Lal Sharbat’ that includes brands like Rooh Afza or Jam-e-Shireen is a very nutritious drink as compare to Pepsi –a carbonated drink—which is not good for health and decreases body calcium and also create stomach and dental problems when taken frequently otherwise Lal Sharbat has no such side effects infact gives a soothing effect if taken at times of Low Blood Pressure and in summer.

In such circumstances the firm should be realistic and at once stop this black-mail/ mud-spilling campaign towards other traditional drinks.

Karachi: in Danger???

Northern Areas of Pakistan have suffered one of the most devastating earthquakes of the century and more than 41, 000 feared dead and over 120, 000 injured and over quarter million rendered homeless!

The response of the world community as well as people of Pakistan in the four corners of the country has been prompt and helpful in coping with the catastrophe. In July this year three tremors had shaken southern localities of Karachi The first measured 1.6 on the Richter scale and the other 3.6. Their intensity was too low to cause serious damage or to determine their exact location by the Pakistan Meteorological Department, whose equipments are too old and outdated. Again on October 11 a large number of people, particularly those living in Karachi’s southern parts, came out of their apartments and homes when a mild quake (4.5on Richter Scale) shook the area after Tuesday midnight. The tremors frightened people in the Defence Housing Authority, Clifton, Gulistane Jauhar and Seaview areas and they spent many hours outsie their homes and apartments.

According to a report by Syed Ashraf Ali of Star - Monday 10th October 05 the DISASTER MANAGEMENT PLAN FOR KARACHI CITY has been shelved. Karachi is in high-intensity earthquake zone and if and when such calamity hits the city, there is no disaster management plan as Ashraf Ali reports.

The Karachi Disaster Management Plan has been hanging for 15 months and the city government had shown no interest to set up such a control center. There are more than 800 katchi abadies and countless high-rises, majority of them are not earthquake-proof, but the authorities have no plan to save the mega polis.Experts said that Karachi is in the 2B zone and could experience up to 6.5 on the Richter scale. If earthquake of such intensity ever hits the
city, 90 percent of Karachi's building will be in danger". Although the city Government has a community development section but so far the work in this regard has been disappointing and competent people do not appear to have been hired to undertake this kind of work properly.
It is hoped that the newly elected Nazim will look into such neglected matters. According to the Cooperative Institute for Research in Environmental Sciences based at CU-Boulder (USA).

"Fifty percent of the world's supercities now are located near potential future magnitude 7.5 earthquakes," Many experts say that Karachi is one of them. "Today, the world is facing disasters on an unprecedented scale: more than 255 million people were affected by natural disasters globally each year, on average, between 1994 and 2003, with a range of 68 million to 618 million," The researchers say. They work at the Center for Research on the Epidemiology of Disasters at Belgium's l'Université catholique de Louvain. According to their research, an average of 188 million people a year were affected by disasters between 1990 and 1999. Asia was affected by about 43 per cent of them and accounted for almost 70 per cent of all lives
lost.

"Earthquakes don't kill people, but buildings and builders of inferior buildings do.'

Mobile Manners "apnao"

The recent Public Service Messages by Paktel is an impressive initiative by this cellular company in training Mobile Users to adopt mobile manners. We had a regional meeting at that time. With the news of $$$ pouring in there arose a mega brawl between the Executive Director and trustees **included many mega-personalities of Pakistan** and what they did…They kicked the Executive Director out and make Secretary General a new person who use to work with the NGO. This person is a very corrupt person from KPT **also had many cases filed in NAB** This headship including last executive director belong from engineering profession having no **kakh** knowledge about development sciences…considered researchers as bogus and unpractical.

TI-Bangladesh (this NGO’s another chapter) hired 80 people from the amount given in aid to TI-P for the same project. And here only two people have hired since. TI-Bangladesh’s Executive Director is a PhD in Development Economics and runs the organization hand in hand with University professors and researchers. Even noted writer and analyst Monis Ahmer is attached with The Bengali chapter.

While the Executive Director TI-Nepal is a lawyer and also keeps media and researchers with him. While TI-India is no less than Pakistan, headed by all ex-bureacrats and big-shot uncles.

My question here is that why funds are given without proper check and balance. Well, why they we have all such donors especially **all from west** want to market themselves and in reality want a 50 percent doer. Their real purpose is to market their name in the following country **strategy is not different from these large scale economies, commonly called as MNCs**…

This is the dilemma of our societies, so we call ourselves Muslims **ha-ha** running before money and trying ever hard to impress the neighbour…and silent over such many discrepancies….I have noticed in countries where sincerity and openness is present, only they are real successful in true sense.

That’s another reason why, I like marketing world…you don’t need to tell anyone to take license for being Pervert!!

Who be is it?

London which is considered very peaceful and calm city was roared by three powerful blasts on Thursday. If you are also the one looking for quick fame, think of designing or creating a parody of some already hot selling item.

Here you could learn from Michael Gerber, the guy who has created a character of Barry Trotter …some manuscripts from his so called: Crapbook are as follows:

These books tell the ghastly tale of Barry Trotter, Lon Measley and Ermine Cringer. Amusingly the story starts when Barry is 22, goes on to tell what happened when he was 39 and then, because Mike Gerber couldn't think what do next, zips back, via a supremely unlikely plot device to when he was 9...

And well this is not all the guy is also involved in creating parodies of unnecessary sequels of Tolkein’s LOTR…for further parodies count to: http://www.harrysscrapbook.co.uk/barrytrotter/bc.php?p=3

And the team spirit did it!

What an amazing performance by Pakistan cricket team in India. Normally if you are getting into commercial scene you should have sound presentation skills and be effective marketer so that people purchase your work and you be FAMOUS.

Kamila Shamsie…said to be a noted writer among the handful Pakistani writers of English fiction. Her latest book ‘Broken Verses’ costs Rs. 595 which make her stood along James Patterson whose novels –very absorbing, mostly thrillers--usually costs above Rs. 500 and exclude them from my affordable range. Patterson is a famous American writer whose novels like ‘Kiss the Girls’ and ‘Along came the spider’ have also been filmatised.

Well the high cost from Patterson’s novel makes sense but I would ‘never’ ever pay such a huge price for Ms. Shamsie’s stuff…

In this case her marketing efforts have played a dominant role. Log on to any website and Kamila would be there among handful writers from Pakistani literary scene. No matter you agree or not but the ‘oldie-goldie’ cute pix of the said writer must have also attracted young lads and lesbians…

Well, has Kamila become Arundhati Roy of Pakistan? They have long hairs just like the Bajis but the only difference is that they don't entertain pony (puppy, or burro) tails. They comb their hair once a day, and this explains the locks (curls) which are actually disfigured knots. They don't do anything with their hair. They just let it fall on their shoulders, and in a real mallang style. The Juliets hate Hajjams (barbers) or maybe they are too lazy to visit one.

Like the Bajis , the Juliets too have damaged hair but they don't care about it. If they had, they would have shampooed their hair at least thrice a week! I can't tell whether there are some lice lurking around in there, but scientifically, there should be some!

The picture says it all

The Pantaloons:

Those who are familiar with classical world drama might be familiar with Pantaloon, the character which portrays an extremely foolish old man (who wears lose trousers) in the commedia dell'arte. The Pantaloons of unis are the ones who have trouble wearing pants/jeans. Either they don't know how to, or they don't like to. They have their jeans/pants a good level below their stomach and don't even bother to wear a belt. They make it look as if their pants/jeans are falling. They should visit Scotland and buy Harris Tweeds for themselves.

No modest girl will dare to look at the pantaloons and if there is a girl who stares a pantaloon for a bit too long, know it that she hasn't a decent character.

NOTE: The pantaloons can be bajis, juliets and porcupines too.

The Baraatis:

Finally, a female only class! The Baraatis dress as if they have come to attend their cousin's or perhaps their best friend's rasm-e-hina. Allah knows how early they wake up to apply heavy make up and set their hair! They are mostly jealous of their own kind and can be seen fighting with each other. Their best dreams are the ones in which they see themselves notching the hair of their rivals or of their ex-boyfriends. Their boyfriends should be particularly very careful. Half of them go mad when they see them without make-up; other half doesn't survive the shock.

The Baratis: Here to attend their cousin's
wedding.

The Khaufnaks!:

Another female-only class. They look pretty damsels if you look at them from a good distance but don't feel tempted to go too near or you'll get the shock of your life! For they are so scary, so scary that a Hollywood director will instantly hire them for horror movies. And the movies will be strictly PG-19 rated because of the scary scenes (the close-ups of their faces actually). They closely resemble The Baratis but the Baratis are not always scary.

My sincerest apologies to those who feel offended.

Idiots in Private Unis - Part I

"These private unis are full of Idiots ... with big pockets and empty heads" -- Henna Arshad

I go to a private university. Am I an idiot too? This matters not. I joined this private university almost two months ago but my power of observance is so sharp (and you can disagree) that I've already categorized the students into some classes and this categorization has in reality nothing to do with their IQ or the amount of money they have in their pockets or purses. You've read the topic, so I'm aware that you are already familiar with the theme of our taxonomy. In case if you are not, it's fashion. By fashion I mean the characteristics and the habitual practices of the students in question.

Anyway, I'll not waste a single nanosecond more in writing another introductory paragraph. Let's begin discussing the haughty hierarchy I've come up with. And one more thing, I intend no offence!

The Porcupines:

They are spine haired males. You know, the ones who look as if they've just had an electric shock! I don't know how much time they spend in front of the mirror applying gel and twisting the life out of their hair, but they do often succeed in becoming what they desire to become … porcupines. For those who lack a vocabulary, the Urdu word is “Australian chohay”. They think they have the coolest hairstyle, but honestly, don't you think it's the most idiotic one too?

The human porcupine
Shamelessly copying animals... sorta!

The insulted animal.
So embrassed that the poor thing is seldom seen these days!

The Bajis :

They are the ones you'd mistake for a female especially when they are wearing shalwar kamiz . They are, no doubt, males but are not manly. Girlish and freakish, in fact! No sane girl will ever dream of hanging out with a, er, a girlish boy with a rotting pony tail and all those who do should consider checking a psychiatrist. The Bajis are very bad when it comes to hair-care. Most (read ‘all') of them have dry and damaged hairs. This damage is perhaps due to the effect of sun, but it will sound more sensible if we attribute it to all the vain attempts they make to attain a perfect pony tail. ARY Digital has come up with an interesting comedy long-play.
Title: Yeh kiya hu gaya hai

The drama was an inspiration from the oldie remake teen classic “Freaky Friday”. The latest version of the said movie has been released a year ago and studded with Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis –title characters of Mom and daughter whose bodies interchanged—well the movie is excellent with a superb soundtrack!!

And ARY’s comic parody of the movie was like creating a total ‘rumple crumple’ of the movie…though the direction was quite OK with got sound and lightening but the dialogues, dressing and actions were really really pathetic.

Jamie’s role was played by Bushra Ansari who sometimes acted like she has a strong desire to become a punk teenager. Her overacting and rubbish English parody of Jamie totally turned Jamies’s semi-charismatic personality a big blow. Though half of the movie has a demand of that sort of character but BA overacted throughout.

The scenes which had been very nicely picturised in the original version while Jamie was taking a ride on the heavy bike of her daughter’s boy friend was shown in a very idiotic way in ARY version. In which Ms. Ansari rode while waving her legs like she is flying on an eagle……this was all because of Ansari’s overacting…whenever she try to act punk and looses the connection of her real self she become really *flat*

But yes the role Lindsay was played by “don’t remember her name” --the all times jeans clad lady famous from Kollege Jeans and one can found her on new Ufone billboards—but well with her natural punk appearance she performed really well and even better than Bushra Ansari.

Bottomline: such parodies are healthy addition…well Indians are also parodying in lump sum quantity— almost all their mega hits are Hollywood copied items—but a serious advice for ARY and Lollywood “Naqal karu par aqall sai” that’s it!!

WHO izz WHO??

Hey…Itzz my LIFE

Yeah…I do whatever I want...
I luv whatever I like…
I eat whatever I want…
I sleep whenever I feel-like…
I befriend with whom I like…
I read whatever I like…
I think what I like…
I am totally ME!!!
And never gonna change me from Myself…
…Well I am Not Like YOU…
Because, I am like ME…
I know itzz my LIFE…
And I know…
I am honey from the black…
Sweet and satire…itzz what I like…
Argue me if you like…
Say me Mad, Pagal, Bogus or Bekarr…
But I don’t care…
If you say that I am wrong…
Because, I live my LIFE…
I have every right to say…whatever I LIKE…
AND IT DOES MATTERS!!!

But Remember...

Whatever you want and whatever you do…
How competent are you …
How conjurer are you…
But...REMEMBER…
This world is nothing…
Itzz nothing….really nothing…
Nothing….nothing…nothing…nothing…
Because…
One day everything will END…
So…everything is Indispensable
Except GOD!!

Keep Feeling

great

forget others-how does it matter to me? He’s like us. Two more zeroes as far as the rates are concerned. That’s about it. – Lollywood Actor, Shan.

I know Pakistani actors were cheated in the past, so naturally, I made sure that whatever was discussed was also received by me in black and white. In my interviews which I gave to local Indian channels, I made it clear that our artists and their performances are not in any way inferior and then only difference is of size and in the number of opportunities. –Lollywood Actor, Moammar Rana.

Pakistani cinema halls will screen Indian movies to save the near-to-collapse industry. –

Lux Style Awards 2004 could be far more organized, more expressive of Pakistani culture and above all could be more well-marketed in the Middle East melting pot Dubai. If the event had been organized by Pakistanis rather then giving the every responsibility from the stage back-drop to dress designs to Indians.

Don’t we had the guts to organize LSA by ourselves?? –

Raw Onion:- These reflections are point to ponder in themselves.

Do we really need the comparisons? Only we need is to learn from their example, our past, research for the good and the ‘rest will become a history’.

Yes these little-in-act actors can lever their frailing careers by acting in Bollywood flicks even as guest appearance on the name of Indo-Pak friendship…rubbish!! Our integrity does matters not only in Political arena but also in entertainment industry not to forget the cricket pitch.

Attention: The mega-classic serials of 80s ‘Tanhaiyyan’ ‘Dhop Kinare’ …. Were trail blazers. Our past dramas were great in the story line, direction and every thing. They were superb and these so called Indians use to follow them in past but Today when we have lost our identity and stands nowhere our dramas have become a mess, eaten by Glamour; the classiness has almost disappeared.

Its time for a Reprisal getting out from the shell of Inferiority Complex..

Samsung mobile phones have ‘Nokia’ personality

Nokia: Claim to fame of introducing a hip and upbeat personality in mid 90s decade though that Nokia image continued later on and still today we are bombarded with the same image laden advertisements.

But…do the Nokia mobile phones match for the sure funky lest glossed image. No, not at all, the firm products are though innovative but have lost that peculiarity which one can now feel in Eriksson –-yes the Sony Erickson—and obviously in Samsung. Well the Finnis producers have to think for a Relaunch of Mobile Image.

Raw Onion:- Nokia mobiles have developed a personality of ''''''Wall Street businessmen''''''.
But with a little funkiness, not of teen sort imbibing with intellectualness–a two in one resort—could surely be a matched persona.

Onion, Tiger and ‘YOU’

Who is a Tiger: A Tiger is fast, striped, aggressive.
He eats anyone who comes in his way.

Though in worldly colloquial a Tiger is a person who is sharp, witty, and aggressive and eats anyone who comes in his way --may it people or any hurdle--.

A high achiever person is a ‘Cheetah’ in the eyes of people.

What is an Onion: An Onion is Round, Layered and Pink.
It tends to take people to tears when they slice it frequently as Onion becomes a vital ingredient for their food.

Though in worldly colloquial an Onion is a person who is Versatile, Fresh and full of Ideas.

She sees the surrounding with her Sharp eyes and tend to turn tears the one who slice, but here she not only turn tears the one who slice ‘her’ but also the one who is slicing others.

Onion is full of satire..... But,

She is a loving and caring person always ready to make the food tasty!!.

Onion could easily become short from the market because of her high demand –Remember she is a vital ingredient of every food--.

Is tiger a Part of onion: Yes of course!!

The world of tiger is very small.
All the time he thinks about ‘attacking and winning’.
He is in a way myopic.
Tiger is ‘stupid’ but ‘great’ at the same time with the influence of Onion.

How?? In the eyes of Onion winning and loosing is a part of game but she always wins.
She thinks about long term channel her energies productively for some Great Cause which a self centered-egoistic Tiger could never do.

But Onion is also aggressive, fast and striped just like tiger.
Onion make others follow her trail but for the prey as like Tiger follows.
But Onion has a broad vision unlike Tiger.
Onion is a big genius!! While Tiger is just genius.

What is RAW ONION!!

It’s the advance version of Onion.
Raw Onion is ‘raw’. More fresher, stronger, energetic, wittier, sharp and vigorous.

Apart from the tiger’s bold and aggressive qualities.

Who are YOU??

Decide by yourself.

onion is alive

Hey...this is me...its under construction
