A soft Image??

Till when we Pakistanis will be reading stories of rape and butchering of a wife from his husband's hands....why our image marketing is so Pathetic...and where are our elite Diplomats?..In any international mag if you have a chance to see Pakistan name..it will be either with referance to Wana or Mukhtaramai type issue.

Why is that??
And India is getting vogue and westerners feel proud to get themselves attached with Desi-culture...

The above entry comes after reading following:

Man cuts feet off 'promiscuous' wife

A Pakistani man and some of his relatives chopped off his wife's feet after accusing her of being promiscuous, police said yesterday.

The woman survived the gruesome attack, the latest in a wave of assaults that have raised international concern about the plight of women in rural Pakistan. 'It is a shameful act of cruelty against a woman,' said Talat Ali, a senior police official in Punjab.'

I so agree with VL. Western media is always out to find out horrendous crime reports in Muslim countries and then they hype it up.

But thats not to say that such cases dont deserve any attention. They do need exposure so that our policy maklers can legislate accordingly.

For VL and Hafza:

Well both of you are very much right...but go with what's obvious. It's a fact that Pakistan is lot backing up Goraa Warzz but still we failed to make a positive and solid image in the world.

And forgot about the DOG status assigned to Pakistan by NYTimes --I guess--???

Why is that, I believe our Foreign Policy, Image Marketing and International Lobbying is a Big Big failure.

Few more issues related to this 'Image' issue:

• The latest incident of UK blasts in which again few Pakistani’s were found involved.
• The latest warning given by UK government to Pakistan related to illegal immigration…we Pakistanis score top where ‘illegal’ word comes in.

Aaah…with these incidents I feel my scholarship going in vain for the time being….

No body will step up against injustice. There are many kinds of people, most will just feel the guilt and sleep on it. They don't have the guts to speak out, which is really a shame. All Talk and no action. For crying out loud, the next thing that could happen with our families :( (God forbid).

Yeah, Islam is getting a bad names for some people who think they can justify killing and drug dealing legal. Sad to say, but i regret these things coming from muslims but they will happen, as they are the Signs of the Day of Judgement.
